Turkey lost to Argentina in its final foundation match during overtime, prior to the World Championship. The match was played in Ankara.

“Twelve Giant Men” could not exploit on five point advantage with only 12 seconds left in the game.

Argentina won the match with 93-89 and won the ninth edition of the Efes Pilsen World Cup where Lebanon and Canada are also in the list.

Argentinean guard Carlos Delfino had 30 points and left all the scorers behind, while Leonardo Gutierrez from the South American team with 12 points was the second highest scorer.

Semih Erden, from Turkey scored 15 points and led his team while Hidayet “Hedo” Türkoğlu and Kerem Tunçeri both had 14 points.

On Monday ,Lebanon beat Canada 88-76 to finish the tournament third.
