Oleg Sofianik, swam between Turkish coast and North Cyprus coast

Oleg Sofianik, a Ukrainian swimmer covered Turkish coast and North Cyprus coast in 36 hours and 17 minutes.

 

 While taking to media after crossing the distance, the athlete said that the main difficulty in crossing was the Southward wind and high temperature. The swimmer also said that the constant prayers helped him in overcoming the challenges and gave motivation to move.

 

A Turkish ship was accompanying the swimmer in his journey. Ukrainian vessel could not be with him at this time due to some technical reasons.

 

Oleg Sofianik had already so many records like- marathon swimming in the water of Thailand, covering the distance between Tunisia and the Italian island of Sicily in the Mediterranean.
