Mr. Mehmet Genc the head of Turkey's Orienteering Federation said that the TRNC will attend the Balkan Orienteering Championships which are destined to be played in Belogradchik city of Bulgaria. The championship will be held from 1^st September to 6^th September and Turkish North Cyprus will go first time under its own flag’s name.

Balkan countries had a meeting in Turkey last March  and in the meeting Mehmet Genc brought up the matter of TRNC’s participation in the championship.
