A football match which was being played between Apollon and APOEL had to stop for 12 minutes because fans of both the teams started throwing flares, seats and other objects onto the pitch.

According to the police report, seven fans, five among them were between the age 12-15, were arrested and later after questioning they were released from the police custody. Two police officers got minor injuries when they were pelted by the objects thrown by the fans.

The incident took as the APOEL club was leading in the game with the 5-0 and fans lost their patience and started throwing objects in the pitch.
