English games hit by bad weather


Several matches across England have been postponed because of bad weather in the FA Cup and the Football League.

FA Cup third round ties to suffer are Accrington v Gillingham, Brentford v Doncaster and Bristol City v Cardiff but are rearranged for 12 January.

In League One Leyton Orient v Yeovil and Walsall v Charlton are off.

While in League Two Darlington v Port Vale, Hereford v Crewe, Macclesfield v Morecambe and Rochdale v Rotherham have all suffered from frozen pitches.

The three FA Cup third round matches called off have been rescheduled for an evening kick-off at 1945 GMT on Tuesday 12 January.

In Scotland, 13 Scottish Football League matches have also been postponed because of poor weather conditions.
