Greek and North Cyprus government reports to get the letter from UNSG office. UNSG spokesperson Stephanos Stephanou said, “I can confirm that UNSG Ban Ki-moon has sent letters to President Demetris Christofias and the Turkish Cypriot leader Dervis Eroglu.”

The letter to both the leaders has been sent to before the tripartite meeting to be held in Greentree in New York.

Stephanou said, “There is a letter from the SG. We have not received it yet but as soon as we do, I will comment on its contents and the President will reply accordingly to the SG.”

Stepanou said that Cyprus President did not receive it yet because of difference of time and the most important thing for the President is that “we shall receive the letter.”
