The Special Advisor of UNSG on Cyprus Issue had meeting with Cyprus President Christofiase Demetris. The meeting between the both the delegates lasted for more than one hour. After the meeting he said that the leaders of both the communities will stress to resolve the property issue in the coming two meetings.

Dervis Eroglu and Christofiase had their first meeting after Green tree summit and tomorrow is another meeting. The third meeting will be next week.The main emphasise during the coming meetings will be on property issue.

Downer said, “this is a Cypriot-owned and a Cypriot-led process and ultimately the decisions will have to be made by the two sides on not only convergences they may or may not reach, but on the way forward.” He further said, “We can only help and support them.”
