Former London TRNC rep on the way to Ankara

FORMER Turkish Republic of North Cyprus London Representative Namik Korhan is said to be on his way to Ankara for his next diplomatic posting.

According to President Mehmet Ali Talat’s spokesman, Hasan Ercakica, Mr Korhan will become the TRNC’s man in Turkey and it is thought the end is in sight for the continuing crisis over diplomatic postings from the TRNC.

Former Ankara TRNC representative Tamer Gazioglu will make way for Mr Korhan, who was London representative for a number of years.

Meanwhile, it was announced that the new TRNC Representative to London is finally arriving in the Capital this Sunday.

Kemal Koprulu was in line to come to the UK but due to political obstacles in North Cyprus, had to wait for his posting to be agreed formally by the gvoernment.
