The special advisor of UNSG in Cyprus again behaved undiplomatic way. Downer’s latest phrase as  ‘Greek Cypriot’ gave idea about his mentality on Cyprus.

Cyprus MP’s got annoyed from Downer’s this phrase and passed resolution in which ''one-sided and detrimental statements and actions'' damaged the image of Downer.


Mr Downer said that a peace settlement needed to be reached before ''Greek Cypriots'' ( rather than merely ''Cyprus'') took the European Union's rotating presidency in July.
