A survey was conducted by Eurobarometer from mid November to early December 2010 across the both sides of the Cyprus for knowning about the contentment of the people.

According to the data noted by the European Commission Representation in Cyprus, 84% were content with their life; and out of this 32% were under the category of very satisfied. This percentage has taken the Greek Cyprus at the sixth highest position of the contend countries. The ratio in the North Cyprus is not same.

In North Cyprus, 57% said they are happy and content with their life which is lower average than the EU ratio.

Greek Cypriot people were optimistic about the countries growth and economy and 33% considered the economy of Cyprus good, while 28%thought European economy better, and still 13% believed that global economy was good.

The common factor between Greek Cypriot and North Cyprus was that both the sides’ people - 54 % and 58% do not want their home budget to be changed in the coming 12 months. Unemployment and the financial situation is the major concern of both the sides’ people.
