An opinion poll was conducted by Public Opinion Research Consulting Centre (KADEM) in which 549 people participated from to 11 to1 9 February 2011. The subject of the poll was the incident of January 28.

The data shows that 60.8% participants think that the relations between Turkey and North Cyprus started straining even before the rally of January 28. The people think that rally was just an excuse to reveal the persisting problem under the surface.

The polls say that 36.7% of people think that Turkey and North Cyprus had very good relations and problem aroused because of the banners in the rally.

56.1% participants in the poll think that positive development will occur because of the rally as the things came into light. While, 42.9% participants think that it will be having a negative impact on the relations of two.
