The funeral ceremony of founder leader of Turkish Cypriot Rauf Denktash started today.  All the Turkish leaders including Prime Minister Tayipp Erdogan were present there.

The resting place of Mr. Denktash will be the "Cumhuriyet Park" in Nicosia. The body of late Denktash was taken from hospital Near East University Hospitalafter his death on Friday.

The body was taken to Presidential Palace and there Hasan Bozer read his biography and after that North Cyprus President Dervis Eroglu came his speech.

 
Mr. Denktash’s boby was taken to the Selemiye Mosque for noon prayers. From there he was carried to Kyrenia gate and from there to the Cumhuriyet Park. He was laid
at 3pm.
  

Schools and public offices were closed for the funeral ceremony.
