Census in Cyprus was always in news and now newspapers are saying the census as flop because of initial results. The results suggest that just 294,906 people live in the North Cyprus.

Newspapers made headlines like---‘Figures that cause laughter’ and ‘Who believes it?’.

Nicosia (North) is the most populated town with 98,739 persons, while Keryneia is on second rank with 72,284 persons. Famagusta (69,273) now comes on third position which was on second position according to two previous censuses.
