Eroglu asked for sharing the profit of natural gas

North Cyprus President Dervis Eroglu commented on Christofiase’s statement
on natural gas exploration as ‘nonsense’. Christofiase said this when he
was asked by media about the right of North Cyprus on exploration in EEZ.


Eroglu said that he is aware of the fact that exploration is indirectly
interfering the UN led Cyprus Peace Talk. Eroglu said, “When I told him
(Christofias), come and let us discuss how we will share this [natural
gas], I received no reply. Therefore, what he said is empty words, it is
“nonsense”.


Eroglu insisted that natural gas belongs to both side of Cyprus and tat
Christofiase is getting distracted from the Cyprus Peace Talk because of
exploration. Eroglu also said that natural gas sharing should be bases on
both sides will.
