Cyprus Statistical Service revealed that building certification marked decreased by 14.5% in 2011as compared to 2010. 7.506 building permits were issued during January – December 2011.

The total value of these permits decreased by 21,8% and the total area by 22,8%. The number of houses recorded a decrease of 38,2%.

 MC authority offices and district administration offices were 560. The total value of these permits reached 189,3 million euros and the total area 213,9 thousand square meters. These building permits provide for the construction of 573 dwelling units.
