Two hurt in north Cyprus car crash


Two people, both foreign nationals, were seriously injured in a traffic accident in Kyrenia yesterday evening.
The authorities said the accident was caused by speeding and careless driving.

According to information broadcast on BRT Radio Bayrak, the accident happened when Turkish Cypriot driver Mustafa Sendil, who was speeding, lost control of his vehicle and smashed into a car trying to turn onto the main road.

20-year-old Nichola Harry and James Bethford was injured in the crash. It is understood both are from the UK.

It was learned that Mustafa Sendil was trying to rush a person to hospital.

An investigation into the accident is ongoing.
